Liberty Wildlife

Education

Liberty Wildlife believes strongly in connecting the public, especially children, with the natural world. Our Education group visits classroom and civic event settings with non-releasable wildlife. Well-trained presenters teach about the natural history of each animal, and tell how each came to be at Liberty Wildlife. They explain the place that the animal holds in the desert ecosystem, and point out adaptations to desert life. We explain the pressures that humanity places on the desert. It is a strong message of conservation delivered under the glowing yellow eyes of a great horned owl…or in the presence of any of the Liberty education ambassadors.

Schedule an Education Program

To request a Liberty Wildlife Education Program for your business, school, church group, or civic event, click here to submit a program request. We do have to ask for $250 to cover our expenses for the education programs, although we are willing to work with groups that might need assistance.  Eagles are a higher level and therefore require a $500 expense if an eagle is requested at a program.  (Eagle Scouts have different requirements – see the Program Request Form for that information).

Education programs are generally conducted from October 1 – May 1 of each year. Program requests are accepted beginning after Labor Day. School programs are normally offered for second grade and higher.

Educational Offerings

In-Class Presentations and Natural History/Environmental programs with live wildlife and trained presenters. We come to your school — plan for approximately 45 minutes for presentations with time for questions. Second grade and up is appropriate. Presentations offered October-April.

Booth Settings

For your next civic event, invite in a few native animals – they will draw crowds of wildlife enthusiasts. Liberty Wildlife’s trained presenters will bring native Arizona species as well as a professional display and activities.

Booths are best for 4 hour periods or less.  For longer events, we can switch teams and animals after 4 hours.  (Extra cost may apply)
